Each week involves a mixture of Swim, Bike and Run

What is your favorite 2XU garment? When do you use it and why?
The GHST range, I usually wear it at a race and also in training. I love the light and quick dry features

My Garmin watch and heart rate monitor
What has been the toughest experience in your career and what did you learn from it?
My toughest race was in 2014 the UTMF - a 100 miles, and my first 100 miles. I was sleepy, cold, and tired on the way, but I didn't gave up, I know if you want to finish an ultra-marathon, you have to adapt to the weather and nature...and enjoy the mountain.
What motivates you to train and race harder?
The most common error on training is over-training, when you are overtrain, you will get tired this just results in sickness and injury. You should train step by step and incorporate a recovery week every three or four weeks.
Describe your diet/meal plan leading up to a big race:
I have a balanced diet, mainly carbohydrates, some protein and vegetables. A big breakfast on race day is always essential.
How do you balance your training and racing life with life outside the sport?
I’m an amateur athlete and so balance between work and training is very important, I train my off duty hours. I need to plan my schedule everything very carefully.
What type of nutritional supplement do you find most helpful (either for training or competition)?
I usually drink water, sports drink, and food like bread or anything I can digest well at the ‘check point’ (food station in races).
Best and worst thing about being a professional athlete:
Although I'm not a professional athlete, the best part is doing what you like, I love training and racing… the worst part is of course injury.
In five years time, I'll be:
I hope I have broken the local race record and also my next target is to compete at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
