What does your standard training week involve?
About 40hrs of training, 12hrs of physio, 21 coffees and about 55-60.000 calories of generally healthy food.

What is your favorite 2XU garment? When do you use it and why?
Aero Time Trial suit, because it´s comfy and I know I´m faster just by wearing it.
What is your favourite training accessory?
Quark Power meter.
What has been the toughest experience in your career and what did you learn from it?
Having nerve damage in my leg and being uncertain if I´d ever be able to run again. It taught me to be grateful for every minute I´m out there doing what I love most.
What’s the most common training mistake you see on the circuit? Any suggestions on how to avoid it?
Training too slow. Train harder!
What motivates you to train and race harder?
Being the best in the world.
Describe your diet/meal plan leading up to a big race:
I eat grain free but generally still very balanced. Lots of good fats although I eat very plain the night before a race.
How do you balance your training and racing life with life outside the sport?
Food and wine. Time with my friends and family, leaving my phone at home…
What type of nutritional supplement do you find most helpful (either for training or competition)?
Espresso in any form…
Best and worst thing about being a professional athlete:
I get to do what I enjoy the most in the most spectacular places in the world. The downside is I can’t do it forever.
In five years time, I'll be:
Working my ass off to beat the youngster’s.
