Care Instructions

2XU Compression garments require careful washing to protect the fabric and enhance its performance life. All 2XU Compression garments are engineered from powerful, technical and durable fabrics featuring world-class INVISTA LYCRA® fibre.

That said, even world-leading fabrics have product lives. To ensure your 2XU Compression garments deliver optimal performance and durability, we recommend you take the following steps:

  • Rinse in clean, cold water after a workout or swimming - sweat and chlorine will accelerate the degeneration of elastane
  • Hand wash in cold water is recommended. If using a machine, select a cold water setting for delicates.
  • Use a mild detergent - strong detergents can accelerate the degeneration of elastane
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not iron
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry in direct sunlight.

  • PWX compression fabric with enhanced power to support the shin, calf, ankle, Achilles and arch of the foot.
  • Graduated fit to promote circulation for muscle performance and faster recovery.
  • Linked toe cage and light padding for added comfort.
  • Seamless construction for greater comfort.
  • High filament yarns for dryness - wicks sweat from the skin to the fabric exterior
  • Antibacterial and UPF50+ sun protection

How should my 2XU Compression garments fit?

Your 2XU Compression garment should fit the body snugly and firmly without uncomfortably ‘cutting in’ to the body. If this is the case, you should review your size choice.

For specific sizing, please refer to our Size Chart, taking into consideration that if you’re near the borderline for sizes or you wish to wear your compression garment primarily for recovery purposes, be sure to choose the smaller size where possible.

NOTE: When considering your appropriate size for compression socks please size as per your calf girth.
Sizes shown are offered as a recommendation should you not know your calf girth or require additional information.

PWX technology utilises 2 unique fabrics; PWX Compression and 105D/K. Each fabric contains the following product enhancing features:

  1. Superior grade circular knit for 360º stretch + unsurpassed power

  2. Highest grade elastane yarns with invista lycra®

  3. Antibacterial + moisture wicking

  4. UPF 50+ sun protection

  5. Flat Lock stitching for maximum comfort.

I've been wearing compression socks for years now for recovery. Now with these cool looking socks I can wear them while performing (Tennis, running, biking) and feel fashionable. And they make my legs feel light and fresh.
  • Roger Manning

I have been wearing these for tennis for the last year or so. I think that they have helped some ankle bursitis. I put them on first, then two angle braces, then tennis socks over that. (Using the ankle braces because of two ankle sprains over the last three years.)

Not 100% sure if the socks are making the bursitis better or if I am just getting over it.

I have a pair of the "Elite" socks also. I like these "Performance Run Socks" better. They are easier to put on. Takes me 3 or 4 minutes to get the "Elite" socks on.

I have weird tan lines now. Only my knees are tan. The socks cover me to just below the knee and the tennis shorts cover me to just above the knee.

Need to be careful about ripping them when putting them on. I ripped one pair when putting them on in a hurry.
  • Jeff H

I have had some injuries in the past. On short to mid-length runs these socks are great. I would recommend the elite socks if you have had prior injuries like me for long runs, but I am still a fan of these socks as well.
  • Glenn

Extremely happy with compression socks. My legs feel so much better following distance runs.
  • Eric

This socks is fantastic! I really love it! I tried Zensah, Injinji, Nike and Adidas compressions and overall, this is my favorite. Def. Recommended! Try on and feel it!
  • ProRef10

been using these sox for about 2 months now, I run about 20-25 miles a week, including sprints & other agility work. I'm more aware of my lower legs and feel secure and lees fatigued than usual. Great buy.
  • BUCK

After major surgery on both feet and a replaced knee, I had intermittent pain in both feet, to the point of using crutches. I saw a vascular surgeon and after explaining that wearing compression socks eliminated the pain he suggested continued wearing instead of surgery. I have tried 3 other brands and have determined that 2XU are the very best. They are put on first thing in the morning and wear them until going to bed in the evening.
  • Big Earl

These socks are great. I have been battling calf & Achilles strains along with plantar fasciitis, which have prevented me from running. These socks allow me to run pain free and without risk of further injury so I can run up to 4 days a week without a problem. The socks also provide support for my Achilles, which my other brand of calf sleeves did not. I am definitely going to order a pair(s) for my wife.
  • Tony

    Great sock
  • Rod Run

These compression socks are the best. I have purchased other brands, but after trying these from 2XU, these are by far my favorite brand. First of all, the quality of the material is superb. Secondly, they are extremely comfortable. Most importantly, they perform fantastic. Unlike other compression socks that I've purchased, with these I feel the difference in comfort and performance even when I'm walking around the house without shoes!!! When I'm running in them, I find that they provide more energy by returning energy through my calves and back to my ankles and they certain provide an extra "bounce" where my feet are concerned. I will definitely be purchases additional pairs in the future.
  • RogerBHou

I have had to wear compression socks for several years to help control swelling in my lower legs. I was so tired of the medical products that were out there and decided to try a pair of these to see how they would do. I really like them,, just wish there was a XXL Size, but will continue to wear the socks and will plan to by additional pairs when needed.
  • Scott

Love the socks. I wear them for recovery but also with my suits - especially after hard morning workouts!
  • Jeff

I now have 4 pairs of performance run socks as well as 1 pair of the recovery sock. Prior to using these products I had plantar fasciitis for years. I had seen a foot Dr. as well as had physical therapy. With the demanding job of being a firefighter I never healed. I have worn these socks now for a year both at work and while training for triathlons. My foot problems have all but gone away, no more pain is a great feeling.
I highly recommend these to my fellow firefighters, endurance athletes and those with areas of their body that need assistance with healing.
On top of all that all the compression items work great and help when traveling to keep the swelling and soreness to a minimum.
    Great products!!!
  • Travis

I purchase 2 pairs of the performance run socks and they definitely are comfortable to run in. I also bought the recovery socks and so far I can feel a difference in not as much muscle soreness after workouts
  • Jim

I bought a pair of these and while running in them it was great. When I put them on for a second time they ripped right at the top of the sock at the stretch band. I am disappointed. Hopefully the store I bought them from can do something about it.
  • Dave303

Nice and warm socks, great for keeping the calves warm and from tighting up. Also has help with Achilles tendonitis flar ups after running on days where its been -10 or colder.
  • Hans

I've heard a lot about compression socks and their ability to help out in any performance situation. I'm a trail runner who likes to compete in 1/2 marathons and am currently training for one now. Just purchased these socks and did a quick 8 miles and was extremely impressed. I liked them so much that I wore them for another 5 hours after the run. An overall great feeling when wearing them and I would highly recommend them to anyone that wanted a comfortable sock, either in training or a long day on the feet. Thanks 2XU!
  • Barry

Best socks for running, did a 15 mile run in them and had great results, no injuries and fast recovery.
  • Adam

These socks were amazing. I wore them to train, and the. Wore another pair to recover in. These are flat out the best compressions socks on the market. The only compression socks I will own from now on!!!
  • Marcus F

After graduating college it's easy to lose focus when it comes to training and racing. And I haven't been able to stay consistent with running every day like I once was. My first run back after not running for about 2 weeks or so, my shins and calves always have a tendency of tightening up and be very sore the next day. After wearing these socks, it has helped on limiting all the micro vibrations that goes while I am running. Also the compression increases my blood flow which gets rid of lactic acid and helps me feel better the following day. This product is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who has reoccurring soreness in there shins or calves. Why should you believe me?

I just purchased these compression socks. Great product at a great price. Keep 'em coming!
  • Joe

Let me start by saying these socks are wonderful. I have these socks as well as the compression leg sleeves so I can outline a few differences from someone who has used both on runs.

The socks, in my opinion, offer a little bit more support because they offer compression through the ankle as well as down into the shoe and covers the entire foot with a tight compression throughout. They feel nice when running and stops all shin splints for me and also provides a sense of power in my legs/calves.
Because these socks cover the entire foot, they still provide compression to your toes and while it is not nearly as tight as the rest of the sleeves, you might want to be aware of this. I personally do not mind this but I can see where some people want plenty of room at their toes and this may be where a "leg sleeve" might work better for you. I really like both options and very happy that I bought both. These provide a lot of support through the calf, ankle, and foot/arch. Great products.
  • Bri

Smarter, stronger, faster... And warmer! This distance runner is glad.
  • Justin

Just received these compression socks as a gift and it was the best gift I received. Been struggling with shin splints and sore arches. First run with these allowed me to run longer and stronger.
