Director of Marketing North America - Team/Mass Sports

The Responsibilities:

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading our big push into the US market by developing, managing and maintaining a high level of return on 2XU’s investment. Specifically, lead the marketing for our large retail and Mass Sports Verticals (Team, Olympic, Golf etc.), including athlete, digital, event, POS, and sponsorships and partnerships. Big ideas, holistic thinking, and a passion for the industry are imperative.

This position will be part of the global 2XU Sports Marketing Team, reporting to the Global CMO (based in the US). They will manage the day-to-day activities and strategies of 2XU within the Mass Sports verticals – and drive retail store traffic through digital media – with a large push in the social media arena. This position is a key member of the marketing team and will interface directly with Sports Marketing/Sponsorship Coordinators, Communications, Online Marketing Group, Sales, Brand Marketing, Product, Legal and Accounting. In addition to making decisions and recommendations on new marketing opportunities, this role would be responsible for managing existing relationships/investments and ensuring that the 2XU brand is properly represented and that our contracts are being fulfilled to their utmost.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead all facets of 2XU’s North American marketing, specifically large box and Mass Sports verticals
  • Manage the team that leads the existing Sports Marketing efforts and ensure 2XU is maximizing deliverables with events, venues, athletes, industry partnerships, etc – help connect the dots
  • Manage day-to-day activities of Mass and Sports Marketing Vertical Management Team
  • Review and make recommendations on incoming Business Development opportunities
  • Manage sponsorship budgets and marketing plans.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other internal departments to maximize marketing properties and to ensure sports authenticity across all communication touch points
  • Work with events trade show team to ensure Sports Marketing presence at all relevant events within Mass Sports verticals
  • Manage sponsorship calendar to ensure successful integration into various outlets with athletes, events, projects and partnerships
  • Report the ROI on sponsorship deals, both athletes and events, to management monthly (based on content and exposure)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years experience managing marketing programs and budgets, with a minimum of 5 years Social media/community management and team leadership
  • Strategic thinker, creative, organized and able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver on our overall marketing goals
  • Deep insight into Social and Retail marketing critical
  • Knowledge and experience working with athletes, sporting apparel, or events
  • Ability to present and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Interest and knowledge in emerging trends in the media
  • Highly motivated, driven, and capable of working in the details while ensuring the overall program is on strategy and on track
  • Capable of managing and completing multiple projects and priorities within a rapidly changing environment
  • Sport enthusiast and sporting interest is a must
  • Ability to travel - approx. 20% or less

Visual Merchandising & In Store Marketing Manager

Position Overview:

2XU is looking for a Visual Merchandising/In-Store Marketing Manager to join their quickly growing Marketing Team. This person will be responsible for communicating the brand vision through In Store displays, POP/POS development and implementation as well as key concept store design. This is a specialist role that requires expertise in the areas of visual merchandising as well as display design and development. The ideal candidate must be creative, dynamic and self motivated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Global team to design and develop branded fixtures, store in store and custom displays
  • Work with Marketing and Brand team to develop seasonal in-store marketing materials and collateral
  • Work with Marketing and Sales teams develop seasonal in-store calendar
  • Plan and execute visual merchandising plan for store in store and custom build outs.
  • Create and implement merchandising planograms to support brand and drive sales
  • Develop annual fixture forecasts including estimated budget, store quantities and additional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain fixture order system for retail partners
  • Generate all orders for Point of Purchase displays and production to ensure on time delivery.
  • Manage fixture inventory and ordering
  • Develop 2XU in store merchandising best practices and procedures
  • Manage in store implementation process including development, shipping, and installation.
  • Work with Field Marketing Team to ensure all stores are premium and set up to brand standards
  • Manage all 2XU concept store development and installation

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications and/or Marketing
  • At least 5 years of brand, product or retail marketing experience
  • Familiarity with the sports industry (apparel experience a plus)
  • Strong computer skills, with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite. Photoshop, In Design skills a plus
  • Must be detail oriented, independent and highly organized
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Able to succeed in a fast paced and detail oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
