Wins for 2XU's at Tauranga Half Ironman!
2XU’s Ironman guru Cameron Brown has kicked off 2012 with a stellar win in the Port of Tauranga Half Ironman on the weekend.
It was a fantastic effort by Brown, who claimed the crown (his ninth Port of Tauranga Half title), after taking the lead from last year’s winner Callum Millward in the second half of the 90km cycle leg.
"To win this title nine times and to win it again at 39 against the young guys is special," said Brown, who clocked 3hr 53min 42sec.
"With eight weeks to go until Ironman New Zealand, it shows I'm in really good form, probably more advanced than I've been for some time."
Brown is confident in his form ahead of the Taupo Ironman March, so after a few days recovering in his 2XU Compression, will go full steam ahead with training once again.
A huge congratulations also goes to 2XU Director + Co-Founder Jamie Hunt who won the 40-44 years age group in 4h 19m 41s, and came 19th overall. As a former World Junior Tri Medallist and a kiwi himself, this National Champs win was a special one for Hunt. Fantastic effort!

2XU continued the winning streak with ambassadors Hannah Lawrence along with Tamsyn Hayes taking 2nd and 3rd respectively, along with cycling’s “people’s champion” Gordon McCauley in his GMC racing custom designed tri suit.
Awesome all round effort for everyone!
