2XU's double Emma podium finish at WCS Tri Germany!
2XU's Emma Jackson and Emma Snowsill both secured podium places at the ITU WCS Triathlon in Hamburg last week. Go Aussies go!
Defending world champion Emma Moffatt pulled away in the final two kilometres of the run leg to leave Emma Jackson and Emma Snowsill to battle it out for silver and bronze.
Electronic ankle bracelets recorded the same time for the Jackson and Snowsill, with judges awarded silver to last year’s under 23 world champ Jackson.
Jackson said she was just proud to be finally rubbing shoulders with her two more famous namesakes.
"It was just a great moment for all of us. It was a great race to be in and I can't believe it," the young Queenslander said.
For three-time world and Olympic champion Snowsill, third place was a welcome return to form after a disappointing start to her season.
"It was finally good to transfer my swimming training into a race which really set up the rest of the race for me," a relieved Snowsill said.
Snowsill did not place at neither Sydney or Madrid and sat Kitzbuhel out to get herself prepared for Hamburg in the run up to the all-important London race in three weeks.
We wish both our Emma’s the best of luck for the continuing international season!
