2XU's JP Tobin claims National RS:X Men's Championships 2011!
Huge congratulations to Kiwi Windsurfer JP Tobin who took 1st place at last weekend’s 2011 New Zealand National RS:X Men’s Championships. The National titles held in Manly, Whangaparoa saw a fleet of mostly international sailors competing for the title. JP’s main competition was from his training partner Dorian van Rijsselberghe (Netherlands), but JP managed to hold him off to claim victory. After seven races JP finished on top of the leader board to claim the National title in a predominantly light wind event.
No rest for JP though as he prepares for the European summer events with a huge focus on the Sail for Gold Regatta in England this June.
Go JP!
