2XU's Erin Densham takes bronze in London
After her three year rollercoaster ride from heart surgery, we were ecstatic to witness our very own Erin Densham (2XU athlete since 2008) take bronze in the women’s 2012 Olympic Triathlon on Saturday.
As Australia’s hot favorite coming into the race, Densham put in a hugely gutsy performance on the home stretch against sprinters Nicola Spirig and Lisa Norden.
For Densham, to race in London at all after being pulled from the water in 2009 and diagnosed shortly after with a racing heartbeat, was a remarkable feat of courage and tenacity. We’re hugely proud of Erin’s multiplied human performance - very 2XU spirited indeed!
