2XU's Cam Brown Gears up for Ironman Melbourne!
With just five sleeps to go, we checked in with 2XU Ambassador & kiwi Ironman guru Cameron Brown for his thoughts on the highly anticipated Ironman Asia Pacific Championships! Thanks to the forced cancellation of Ironman New Zealand, Cam is now signed up to race this almighty event...which promises to be a blistering, Pro-studded spectacular!
Well the count down is on to the inaugural Ironman Asia Pacific Championships in Melbourne, Australia this coming sunday(March 25th) I've had a good build up since the shortened Ironman New Zealand two and half weeks ago and hope the half Ironman we raced there will put me in good shape for a great race this weekend. There is a fantastic field headed by 3 x World Champion Craig Alexander and every other Aussie Ironman pro athlete. Weather conditions look great and the course will be a very fast one with a sheltered 3.8km swim then a 2 lap 180km bike that is all on motorway so this should mean some quick times. The run will be a new experience with athletes doing a 42.2km point to point run from the start at Frankston to the finish line in St Kilda. As always you can follow the race live on www.ironmanlive.com. The race starts at 7am(AET) I will be in touch after the race.
Kind Regards
Cameron Brown
From all at Team 2XU - happy racing on Sunday Cam!
