2XU sponsored TeamTBB sensation Mary Beth Ellis won her 2nd Ironman in as many months in Regensburg, Germany yesterday. Ellis claimed the title in a total race time of 9 hours 18 minutes and 55 seconds.
She was the first to exit the water in a sub-50 minute time and was then over taken in the early stages of the bike (the leg she describes as 'ugly'). Ellis continued to work hard and close off the ride in prime position to start the marathon. In a time of 3:06:45, her run was impressive and placed her a huge 10-minutes ahead of the next pro, Kamenz with Nicole Leder in 3rd.
