2XU TeamTBB Caroline 'Xena' Steffen WINs Euro IM Champs!
2XU sponsored teamTBB warrior Caroline 'Xena' Steffen won yesterday's European Ironman Championships in Frankfurt yesterday, in 9 hours 12 minutes 13 seconds. Faced with cold, wet conditions throughout, Xena was 3rd out of the water, just over a minute off 2nd place finisher Zelenkova. On the bike, she powered away from the women’s field and claimed the fastest female bike time of the day in 4 hours 51 minutes 7 seconds.
During her run, she stood true to her ‘Xena, the Warrior Princess’ title, battling against all odds and frequently stopping to stretch her back. The win marked her second Ironman title and fifth victory in 2011. Visit teamtbb.com for more comprehensive news and imagery too.
