2XU - Ecommerce Channel Manager

Position Overview:

The eCommerce Channel Manager leads the eCommerce and digital division, driving strategies to increase revenue and overall multichannel customer engagement for 2XU in Australia (www.2XU.com.au) and the United States (www.2XU.com) while also providing eCommerce guidance to our 31 international distributors.  In this role, the appropriate candidate will take over a fast-growth sector of the business and drive his internal team to reach revenue goals as well as fuel brand growth throughout the world. The perfect candidate will have several years of hands-on experience in all aspects of eCommerce operations including techonology/site development, internet marketing, shipping/logistics, customer service, inventory management and data/analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Overall Strategy:

  • Leverage market research, customer surveys, and web analytics to understand customer needs, identify new opportunities, and define a development roadmap
  • Work with upper management to understand and define business requirements and goals
  • Responsible of all eCommerce budget and sales objectives, with a keen focus on maximising gross margin
  • Develop short and long term objectives, customer metrics, and overall performance for our rapidly growing Global eCommerce properties
  • Build and manage a team of internal and external resources to meet scheduled timelines for all eCommerce deliverables
  • Continually clarify roles and reporting structure so that strategy and job functions remain aligned

Technology/Site Development

  • Manage web design team focusing on overall UX and conversion optimization as well as branding initiatives 
  • Manage development team to meet tight timelines for site updates, redesigns, and completely new infrastructure/builds 
  • Act as the expert in Magento and provide a scalable international strategy for all international distributors
  • Utilize APIs where necessary to build technological efficiencies throughout the business

Internet Marketing

  • Responsible for all branding and ROI driven marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, EDM, Affiliate, Shopping Feeds, Retargeting, Display, Social Media, etc.)
  • Forecast projected sales and closely manage budgets to hit desired ROAS
  • Manage 2XU’s eCommerce Marketing Specialist which drives campaigns aimed at long term revenue growth
  • Manage web designers to effectively develop marketing materials that convert while staying within brand guidelines
  • Work with third party agencies to execute specific marketing campaigns
  • Work cross with retail and wholesale ensure an Omnichanel shopping experience
  • Work with the Communications team to develop social media strategies

Shipping/Logistics

  • Work with warehouse team to limit bottlenecks and maximise efficiencies
  • Review and negotiate with shipping providers to guarantee best service at the lowest overall cost to the company
  • Manage Customer Service Rep for an effective returns & exchange process

Customer Service

  • Develop loyalty plan and overall customer satisfaction strategy
  • Determine customer service touch-points and most effective software solutions to increase efficiencies and response time
  • Manage Customer Service Rep to effectively handle enquiries and exceed other customer service KPIs

Inventory / Merchandising

  • Work with Inventory Planners to guarantee appropriate product forecasting and allocation for eCommerce channel
  • Manage eCommerce Coordinator in aligning product launches, stock replishments and overall site merchandising
  • Manage aged stock process and work with Finance to set pricing strategies to maximise gross margin

Data/Analytics

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase website traffic, conversion rates, average order size, customer profitability & retention and reduce shopping cart abandonment rates.
  • Set KPIs and provide reporting to key stakeholders
  • Effectively use data to set overall strategy and direction for the eCommerce Channel

DESIRED SKILS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years managing all aspects of eCommerce operations (techonology/site development, internet marketing, shipping/logistics, customer service, inventory management and data/analytics)
  • Experience working in a multi-channel retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of Internet technology and development with proven track record of managing developers to meet timelines
  • Strong working knowledge of Magento CMS
  • Significant business-to-consumer experience focused in ecommerce, mcommerce, online marketing, campaign development and management, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Proven successful track record in managing internet marketing (SEO, SEM, EDM, Affiliate, Shopping Feeds, Retargeting, Display, Social Media, etc.) to sell products, and drive consumer acquisition, retention and loyalty
  • Experience with web analytic tools, Google Analytics a plus
  • Ability to analyse data and trends, develop strategy and effectively execute with the appropriate resources
  • Hands on experience managing and reporting on forecasting, sales/GM targets and cost budgets
  • Strong leadership, analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly scale/hire new team members as well as manage existing team
  • Experience with Apparel 21, a plus
  • Experience running eCommerce in several international markets, a plus
  • Experience working with Fashion and/or Sports focused eCommerce companies, a plus

Position Overview:

We have an opening for an Assistant Store Manager for our new Retail store in Newport Beach. The Assistant Store manager will assist the Store Manager oversee the selling culture and operations for the Store to ensure effective implementation of Retail programs and that company financial objectives are met.

Essential Functions of this Role:

  • Responsible for growing revenues by driving sales through the execution of the 2XU selling culture.
  • Help oversee the management of a 2XU retail store including recruiting, hiring and training casual staff positions.
  • Visit local businesses and community events to create awareness of the 2XU store and direct traffic to the store.
  • Execute an innovative customer store experience for our customers while exceeding our selling objectives.
  • Help develop and execute retail operations best practices within a 2XU retail store. Communicate and maintain policies and procedures for the store and monitor consistency within the store team.
  • Meet or exceed financial budget.
  • Analyze performance data and implement strategies to improve operating results in partnership with 2XU USA Head Office.
  • Manage inventory levels in store and maximize sales opportunities. Execute field visual merchandising directives within the store while maintaining standards and brand image.
  • Maintain contact as needed with the Store Manager to review staffing, merchandising and operational needs.
  • Attend staff meetings and help plan and facilitate store sales meetings. Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment, and respond to change effectively.
  • Resolve customer service issues in the store.
  • Manage purchasing of supplies and materials necessary to support store operations and monitor expenses.

Minimum Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience with apparel store environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of visual presentation techniques and store layout.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strong selling cultures.
  • POS Systems Experience.
  • Demonstrated strong supervisory skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong PC skills required, including Word, Excel, etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of Management and support a diverse work team.
  • Ability to move about a retail store for long periods of time.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time during a workday.
  • May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday
  • Must be able to travel at least 10% of the time.
  • Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
